Salami, sage and parmesan pasta for $8.20

INGREDIENTS

500g spaghetti or other
pasta of choice
1/3 cup shaved parmesan cheese
30g butter, chopped
250g punnet cherry tomatoes,
halved
100g salami, chopped
1/3 cup kalamata olives
¼ cup sliced basil or sage leaves
1 garlic clove, crushed
extra parmesan, crusty bread,
to serve
METHOD

  1. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, following packet instructions. Drain and return to saucepan.

  2. Toss parmesan and butter through pasta over a low heat 1-2 minutes, until melted. Mix remaining ingredients through. Serve with extra parmesan and crusty bread if liked.


TOP TIP
  • The tomatoes, salami and olives can be sauteed in a little oil before adding to pasta if preferred.
  • If liked, add a can of crushed tomatoes or prepared napolitano sauce and heat through before serving.
