Kate and William's kidnap terror
"The problem is that William and Kate face all the same threats that the royal family have always endured – Irish terrorists, unstable stalkers, kidnappers, etc, but now there are terrifying new threats, like al-Qaeda and even Argentine terrorists."

Fears for the safety of Prince William and his wife are at an all-time high as the pair’s security is labelled ‘incompetent’.

As royal security experts warn of a terrifying new threat on the lives of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, the strain is showing in the dark circles under Kate’s eyes. Stepping out with her bodyguard for a three-hour hair appointment and a spot of grocery shopping – her first public outing since her husband left for his tour of duty on February 4 – Kate’s fragile appearance makes it clear she is missing her prince.

But, more than simply being lovesick, sources close to the duchess tell Woman’s Day that Kate is terrified her beloved Wills will be killed on his dangerous six-week tour with the Royal Air Force in the distant Falkland Islands. Publicly, the 30-year-old duchess has put on a brave face, declaring, “My job is to support my husband.” But privately, we’re told she is losing sleep over the increasing tension in Argentina and the countless death threats William, 29, has received from those outraged at the prince’s presence on the islands on the 30th anniversary of the Falklands War.

“I hope your helicopter crashes and you die frozen in the sea,” is just one of the many hateful messages wishing death upon William in revenge for the 649 Argentinians killed in the war. Even the country’s president, Cristina Fernandez, has inflamed passions, describing the prince’s tour as the actions of a “coarse and decadent colonial power”.

Now, in news that is certain to shock the palace even further, experts on royal security have revealed that the protection surrounding both Kate and William is inadequate – and both their lives are in real danger. Speaking exclusively to Woman’s Day, Chris Rose, a former personal protection officer to Prince Charles, explains, “The problem is that William and Kate face all the same threats that the royal family have always endured – Irish terrorists, unstable stalkers, kidnappers, etc, but now there are terrifying new threats, like al-Qaeda and even Argentine terrorists.”

He is in the armed forces & goes where he is deployed just like any other soldier. Falkland Islanders don't want to be ruled by Argentina why would they? If Prince Phillip had not married the Queen he would very likely become the head of the Navy (First Sea Dog). He fought in WW1 in the navy.
I personally like William and Kate, they are modern Royals and he is an excellent pilot and I know he loves serving in the forces. However he is in line for the throne after his father and I think that the authorities are taking a risk by allowing him to be in the Falkland Islands. The Argentineans would love to harm him so I believe that he should leave that area. Pedro
is it my eyes or did anyone else see that Katie had no wedding ring on her left hand third finger she did have a ring on but her middle finger mmmmmmmmmmm maybe it doesnt mean anything but if i was married to someone as cute as that id wear my wedding ring on the right finger lol
Prince William and Prince Harry are both competent in their roles and they are trained military personnel. Their grandmother has even had hands on experience in a support role to the military. All the boys of the royal family have had military training including Prince Phillip. They know they are putting their lives on the line, and accept that. The Duchess of Cambridge knew she was marrying into a military family and I am sure she understood the dangers of what that meant. These are intelligent human beings and anyone who has ever been left behind to worry knows what she is going through. For Queen & Country has real meaning for them, war does not discriminate.
I guess he had to go, just like any other soldier. BUT I bet his dad wouldnt have gone as next in line to the throne. If the Royal Company doesnt wake up to themselves and realize William should be our next king and not his dopey father [they are ostriches], and start educating him to be or give him enough royal duties to take him off the front line, I'm afraid there will be another tradgety in that family.
William is doing everything RIGHT ,he is just getting on with his job. These idiots who threaten him need to be ignored. Just hope he doesn't stay away too much at the time when Kate could be conceiving?!!!!!!
He is required to perform his duties regardless of danger, so his tour in the Falklands is to be expected. I am surprised however at the short length of it. Is six weeks normal ? I would have expected a much longer tour. All the rhetoric coming out of Argentina probably means that the government over there has some internal problems and needs to create a "Cause" for the public to distract them again. Galtieri and his cronies sacrificed a lot of lives doing that last time. As to the safety of Will and Kate at home the government must make sure its top shelf. Can't risk losing the best contenders to keep the Monarchy.
Wills is like anyother guy in the armed forces I don't think he has a choice, he would be talked about if he did not go saying that he used his roll as a royal to get out of doing his duty,His late mother taught him better then that,& he is doing what he loves doing,I say leave them alone. I wish them all the best & pray he comes back home safe & well to his lovely wife Kate,
I see Prince William to be a man with lot of guts to go to the falklands knowing of the possibilites and of the higher risks than his freinds serving with him As i am an ex serving member of the Australian army and well know the risks any serving member has in this job it takes a pretty special sort of woman to live with those possibilities, i think Kate is that woman and deserves to be looked after with all the might and power of the Commonwealth of Nations.. What we all have to remember is that William being who is did not have to go he chose to go in my eyes and my heart he deseves the V.C just for going..
He serves his country like we all should. What about you? The inhabitants of the Falklands Islands are descendents of Brits as the Argentinians have never lived there, Why would they want to be Argentinian. Would you want to?
