Ange's little tomboy longs to be one of the boys
Angelina Jolie walks her children through the airport in Japan.
"But now Ange has accepted it, allowing Shiloh to wash and bathe in her brothers’ bathroom instead of her own. And when the family is out in public, it’s par for the course that she be allowed to use the men’s restroom."

Ange’s little tomboy longs to be ‘one of the brothers’... and Mum’s happy to help.

Sporting a super-short new haircut and a blokey black outfit, Angelina Jolie’s five-year-old daughter Shiloh looked like one of the boys when she joined brothers Pax, 8, and Knox, 3, on a trip to the Studio City Farmers’ Market in LA last week. (See the pictures in this week's Woman's Day on sale now.)

From her masculine new look, it’s clear the tomboy tendencies Ange and her partner Brad Pitt had both written off as “just a phase” are in no danger of disappearing and are, in fact, only becoming more extreme.

Following reports that Shiloh now insists on being called “Shax” – so her name ends in an “X”, like her brothers’ – a family insider tells Woman’s Day the little girl has taken her boyish behaviour to a whole new level by insisting on only using men’s bathrooms! "The first time Ange caught Shiloh using the men’s room at an airport, she was horrified and embarrassed," our source reports. “A bodyguard had to go in and retrieve her.

"But now Ange has accepted it, allowing Shiloh to wash and bathe in her brothers’ bathroom instead of her own. And when the family is out in public, it’s par for the course that she be allowed to use the men’s restroom." Shiloh has long been obsessed with toy weapons, fake tattoos and pirates, and our insider says she now dresses almost exclusively in her brothers’ hand-me-downs and begs to sleep in their rooms.

Why is this even a issue to anyone besides her parents? I find it really sick that the media are focusing on a baby & constantly writing creepy articles about her. So what if she want to dress & act like a boy? I grew up with lots of brothers & male cousins & was the BIGGEST tomboy & guess what I didn't grow up to either be gay or transgender. & even if I had, so what? I would have still been the same person I am today, mature, well adjusted, empathetic... This child is lucky to have parents that accept her for who she is & let her explore all sides of herself. Good on you Angie & Brad, this has made me kind of a fan of yours.
Who knows in 5years times she'll want to be a girl kids go thru a child development stages whats all the fuss about let her be ownself sometimes kids go thru dramatic role model play (dress ups) copying her big brothers
Good on them for allowing her to be who she wants to be, this is a phase, my now 18 year old was exactly the same, boys clothes, guns, wrestling, bioticals instead of the stereo typical dolls etc....she is now a very mature girly 18 year old if anything has more of a grasp on reality! The best part is she never took part in the bitchiness of peers at school!
If parents don't allow their children to develop as they are meant to they will become depressed and mixed.. Would you put a dog in a cage and call it a cat and meow at it? No. If a child has characteristics which show gender identity differenced, (for example, they are a girl and they want to wear boys clothes and cut their hair short) allow them to explore what they feel and think, to find their true-selves as they grow up, otherwise they will grow up not knowing who they are and they will be scarred with all of the critisism of parents and people saying 'No, you cannot do this your a little girl not a boy, its wrong.' Imagine yourself, waking up in a body of the opposite sex, how would you feel if you were like it for the rest of your life and no one supported you?
Whatever ever happened to allowing children to grow up and develope the way their body and brain needs them too! If Shiloh wants to grow up to be a boy, who the hell are we to scrutinise her or her parents? How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot and it was your child? As a parent you'd do anything for your childs happiness, whether that be putting pony tails in a boys hair, or letting a girl use the 'mens' public restrooms. This is one of the reasons why we as a society are going backwards! We have seen in the media a lot of suicides, where young adults AND adults are taking their lives due to the pressure of what genda they should be based on peoples judgement, opinions and whether they are pink or blue. Genderisation needs to stop and allow everyone in the world be, who they are comfortable and happy being, despite what they were born. Maybe everyone could take a step back from judging and take a look at themselves.....
what crazy parents would allow their little girl to do that? she will be one mixed up child.
Didn't anyone else grow up with big brother's that they idolised? When I was Shiloh's age I said I wanted to marry my brother! Shock and awe. Incredibly I didn't grow up incestuous, I just grew up! And when little girls go out with only their Daddies they use men's toilets from time to time, just like little boys with their mummies!
Shiloh reminds me Chaz Bono, so cute.
That a young girl is allowed to use public men's toilets is ridiculous!
