Kim Kardashian has opened up to Oprah, revealing the intimate details of her teenage sex life on Oprah's Next Chapter.

In the first episode of a two-part series, Kim has admitted to being "almost 15" when her mother, Kris Jenner, put her on birth control.

She disclosed that the choice was made after Kim said she wanted to be sexually intimate with her boyfriend at the time, who was a friend of the family.

"When I did want to have sex the first time, I was almost 15," Kim said. The reality television star discussed the broad-mindedness of her mother, who welcomes open conversations of a sexual nature with her children.

It was Kris, who is now Kim's "momager", who encouraged her to go on birth control.

Oprah, who has exposed her fair share of celebrity confessions, was clearly shocked by the admission, to which she responded with a simple "wow", before moving on to the next question.

Jacinta, safe sex is not about using birth control, safe sex is about using condoms. A baby is not the worst thing that can happen when teens have sex, it's sexually transmitted diseases that they get stuck with that can ruin their lives. I'm surprised that in this day and age the only thing you all seem so worried about is a baby when sti's are so prevalent in our society.

As Oprah, said, "wow". Absolutely amazing news. I have always wondered what age Kimmie started on birth control. It is up there with all the biggies like "when will it all end", "the meaning of happiness", "the winning lotto numbers". Now I can sleep easier. Kimmie is surely one of the wonders of the world. Where would we be without her.
I can't believe that it's so shocking. Isn't it better for her to be on birth contol than to have a baby at 14? Some girls are ready to be sexually intimate at that age and I think it's quite sensible parenting to be honest. If my daughter ever came to tell me she was ready I would not hesitate to put her on the pill after having a deep discussion about the birds and the bees. Better that than her to have a baby at such a young age.
While I have little time for this cash clan, Kris Jenner obviously did one good thing in her life and that was to ensure that her sexually active 14 year-old did not have a baby! It is unrealistic to expect that teenagers will not have sex but at least one must, as parents, ensure that they do not suffer the extraordinarily difficult teen pregnancy so, if by going public on this, Kim can encourage other sexually active teens to protect themselves then good!
It's probably the only sensible motherly (non-exploitational) thing she has done for her child. If kids are going to have sex, they are going to have sex..one less teenage pregnancy is a good thing.
Possibly one of the most responsible things any of the Kardashians have ever done!
It doesn't really come as a shock that Kim was but on brith control at 14. I was the same age!! Its good to see someone like Kim is pratising safe sex and having an open relationship about sex with her Mum Kris. I have the same relationship with my Mum and want to have the same with my daughters as well.
Sounds like a very sensible and well thought out thing to do. Good on her parents for actually making the right decision.
I dont really see what the big deal is here. I think its a good thing if parents want their teenage daughters to go on birth control at an early age. Kids seems to be having sex at a younger age these days and while Im not saying thats good, (cause its not), but Its better than a child having a child, and all the dramas that go on with that.
